“I am A BIGFIXer!”

I didn’t even know that was a thing until a friend asked, “Of all the houses you’ve lived in, have you ever moved in without immediately starting a project?” After considering the 15+ places my wife and I have lived in since our first apartment, the final answer was an emphatic, “NO!”
To my defense, every house needed something fixed, even the new ones. I promise!
That’s the story of my life. Whether its 35+ years of leading nonprofits, 30+ years of real estate transactions or my “too many to count” vehicle purchases, every last one started with a fix-it project. Seriously, what kind of person leaves the stock rims on a F150?
I can’t help looking past ‘what is’ to see ‘what could be,’ even ‘what should be’, and then coming up with a solution to make it happen. People. Teams. Projects. Buildings. I stopped trying to turn it off. It’s who I am. It’s why I am here.
Maybe you’re a BIGFIXer looking for camaraderie, or maybe you’ve inherited a BIGFIX and you need help navigating. Either way, it’s a privilege to be in your orbit. Lets lean in and let’s win together.
